The Environment Agency had issued flood warnings across Cumbria, particularly affecting areas near Carlisle, Cockermouth, Keswick, Egremont, Lowick Bridge, and Wigton. In response to the flooding, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service successfully rescued two individuals trapped in a vehicle at Braystones early this week . Newby Bridge was recorded at 1.78 meters at 11:15 on 6th November with conditions rising for a short while. Residents and business owners were looking on in worry that the river was to cause some damage regardless the rate of water flowing. Spark Bridge and the surrounding area also had flooded banks, fields and roadways.
